		<description>it is pretty paralyzing, the fretting about not getting things done.  i do it, too - when i think about what i&#039;m doing, exactly, i feel like a moron.  it&#039;s similar to when i have an early morning appointment to get to, and then i fret all night about getting enough sleep so i&#039;m not tired at 6am, so much that i don&#039;t get any sleep at all.

i&#039;ve learned a lot from doing things like NaNoWriMo, where there&#039;s a set word count goal for the day and loads of accountability if you fail.  i learned that the best thing to do, when i&#039;m stuck, is just to skip over that part, move onto something else, and come back to it later.  it is hard to break out of the linear pattern, but at least it gets me going again, which is the most important part.  maybe this is true for you, too?  i mean, if the feeling isn&#039;t there, there&#039;s no sense forcing it, or avoiding it, or worrying about it.  hard lessons, difficult habits to undo.  but it can be done.</description>
